Running more than one studio

Switch to the combined view

Sidebar → the control at the top naming the studio you are in → All studios

The rule is exact, and it counts memberships rather than studios: you must hold owner or admin on two or more active memberships. Owner at one studio and instructor at another does not qualify.

1. 1Click the control at the top of the dashboard sidebar — the one showing your studio’s name and logo. It has no fixed label; it is named after wherever you are.
2. 2Read the menu heading: "You are viewing as".
3. 3Your studios are listed first, alphabetically, each with its role beneath it — Owner, Admin, Instructor or Front desk.
4. 4Pick All studios.

• The role beside each studio is the role on that membership row, not one global role. An account can be Owner at one and Instructor at another, and the menu says so.
• Eligibility follows the ROLE on the membership row, not effective permissions. Removing an admin’s Billing ticks in Edit access changes nothing here; demoting them to instructor does.
• Suspended studios do not count. A two-studio owner with one studio suspended stops being offered the combined view at all.

Read the combined numbers

Sidebar → Overview

1. 1Check the line under "Welcome back, {first name}". In the combined view it reads "Combined across your {n} studios."; in the ordinary view it names one studio.
2. 2Use the toggle above the numbers: Aggregated and By studio.
3. 3On Aggregated the block is headed "Across all studios" with a studio count beside it, and one row of eight figures covers every studio at once.
4. 4The eight are Revenue (MTD), Active Students, Check-ins Today, Classes Today, Attendance (30d), Active Subs, Capacity and Past-due.
5. 5Switch to By studio to see the same figures split, with each card linking through to that studio’s report.

• It is a report, not a place you act from. There are no write controls, and picking a context grants nothing — every permission check stays exactly where it was.
• Cards are clickable in By studio and static in Aggregated. There is no single destination for a number that spans several studios.
• Attendance (30d) in the aggregated row is weighted by today’s check-ins rather than by thirty days of volume, so a studio having a quiet morning is under-weighted in the blend. Use By studio when the number matters.

Get back to one studio

Sidebar → the control at the top, or Sidebar → Overview

1. 1Open the control and pick a studio by name. You land on that studio’s dashboard.
2. 2Or click Overview in the sidebar, which reports on your active studio alone.
3. 3Or stay put and click By studio on the toggle.

• Picking a studio from the control while you are on the overview takes you to that studio’s dashboard, not to the overview narrowed to it.
• The single studio the overview falls back to is your active one — whichever you last worked in — checked against your own memberships before it is honoured.
• My account in the same menu is the member half, not a studio. It goes to the family portal and leaves your staff context untouched, so switching over and back returns you where you were.

Why a saved link can quietly show one studio

The combined view is checked twice — once when the menu decides whether to offer it, and again when the page decides whether to serve it. That second check is why a bookmark can change behaviour without telling you.

1. 1Bookmark the overview with the combined view selected if you use it daily. It keeps working for as long as you qualify.
2. 2If it ever comes back showing one studio, check your memberships rather than the link.
3. 3A studio suspended, a membership deactivated, or a demotion from owner or admin at either studio all drop you below the threshold.

• A link that stops qualifying does not error. There is no refusal and no message — you simply get an ordinary single-studio overview, which is easy to misread as the numbers having changed.
• Typing the parameter yourself gets a non-qualifying account nothing. An instructor at two studios who pastes the link sees their active studio, exactly as before.
